Neroli, Citrus aurantium var. amara, is the precious essential oil distilled from the white flowers of bitter orange. Its distinctive character combines the clarity of citrus blossom with a smooth, honeyed floral depth—making it one of perfumery’s most recognisable and expressive natural florals.

Choose Neroli Essential Oil when you want an elegant orange-blossom aroma with more radiance than rose or geranium, yet a lighter, more airy profile than richer white florals. The 5mL format reflects the precious nature of flower-distilled Neroli: bitter-orange blossoms yield very little essential oil, and published supplier information notes that roughly 1,000 kg of blossoms may yield approximately 1 kg of Neroli oil.

Fresh bitter-orange blossom opens with a soft citrus lift and a subtly bitter green edge. A luminous, sweet white-floral heart follows, rounded by delicate honeyed facets and a smooth, gently warm finish.

Its radiant floral character sits beautifully with sparkling citrus, rosy greens, soft florals, and creamy woods.

Diffuse

Add 3–4 drops to a diffuser or essential-oil burner. Begin with fewer drops in a compact room, then adjust to your preferred intensity.

Body

Dilute 3–6 drops in 10mL of unscented carrier oil or lotion before applying to the body. Use as part of a personal aroma ritual or slow evening massage.

Bath

Blend 2–3 drops first into a suitable bath dispersant or pre-diluted bath oil. Do not add undiluted essential oil directly to water.

Diffuse Neroli when you want a floral scent that feels polished rather than powdery, and radiant rather than overtly sweet. Its fresh white-floral profile works especially well as an evening transition: present enough to change the atmosphere, but smooth enough to remain close and understated.

For a bright floral composition, pair Neroli with Bergamot FCF and Egyptian Geranium. Bergamot extends the citrus lift, while geranium adds a green, rosy floral bridge. Add sandalwood when you want the blend to settle into a creamier, warmer, more lingering finish.
