The tiny daisy-like flowers of German chamomile have white collars circling raised, cone-shaped yellow centers and are less than an inch wide, growing on long, thin, light green stems. It can reach up to 10 cm high and is native to Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia.

The name "German chamomile" comes from its apple-like smell and ground-like growth.

Chamomile is known as Matricaria in scientific terms, meaning "caring for the womb." It has been used in folk medicine for women's health, digestive problems, and inflammation. The compound chamazulene gives it strong anti-inflammatory properties.
