Clove bud essential oil is one of the oldest known essential oils and has many uses, including aromatherapy to promote a positive mood and reduce irritation.

Properties: anti-anemic, anti-fungal
Great for: reduce irritation, promote positive thinking
Blends well with: sweet orange, tea tree, eucalyptus
Aromatic: Add 1-2 drops to a diffuser or essential oil burner.
Dilution ratio: Max. 0.5% (2 drops per 20mL) in a base oil.
BODY
Massage: Add 2 drops to sweet almond oil and apply to ease joint pain.
Compress: Add 2 drops to warm water. Soak face clothe and apply to the abdomen to aid digestion.
SKIN
Direct method: Add 1 drop to a wet cotton tip and roll it inside the gums to ease toothache. Do not swallow.
MIND/MOOD
Diffuse 2 drops of clove and 4 drops of lemon to disinfect the sir when convalescing after an illness.
HOUSEHOLD
Cleaning room spray: Add 2 drops each of clove, sweet orange, tea tree and eucalyptus to 1 tbsp white vinegar. Add to 125mL spray bottle with filtered water. Mix well. Spray to clean bathroom tiles and follow with a damp cloth. Helps to neutralise ordours and even inhibits mould.
